This movie was written and directed by Justin Simien. Previously, she was cast as Trina for 7 episodes on the HBO’s comedy and romantic TV series Insecure. She started her acting career in 2014 with TV film Laugh Gym. Later, in 2015, she appeared as Wanda opposite Adrienne Wilkinson in comedy film Eff’d.
